Mac reinstall

I am reinstalling the Mac. I gave up on the broken package manager. I feel like I am back in the bad old Windows days :) Install a new program and it will screw up your dll's. Plan to reinstall once a month...
Sorry Jordan. Mac is not as bad as Windows. But it does bring back some old memories :)

Oh, and the sound of the Mac reinstalling is hilarious. The dvd-drive rocket launcher is better at funny sounds than our dishwasher at home.

I have installed several updates and rebooted several times. Oh good old Windows days. I can live with a firmware update requiring reboot...

So now I am running Mac OS X 10.4.11, one huge step back. I guess I'll have to borrow the update media from my colleague. I have installed Developers Tools (Xcode Tools) from the DVD and it worked, now cvs and make can run, and it can still install packages \o/
