Book: Terry Goodkin: Debt of Bones
Thin fantasy book I bought some months ago because I needed a break in reading serious stuff. I also think someone recommended this author to me. Didn't get around to reading it until now when I was ill...
It is an extra book belonging to a series, kind of a prehistory about how their world came to be. It is a nice little story, not extremely interesting in itself, but promising enough for the rest of the books that I might read some more.
It is about a young woman trying to save her family captured by the enemy, by appealing to the magical powers that be, but she becomes emotionally involved in their lives too, when she discovers that they are also just people, though with power adding to their lives the obligation of sacrificing their own personal happiness to the greater good of the people.
